Meet Shari

Craig says:
Shari is warm and caring and you hear the smile in her voice when she greets people. She’s one of the smartest people I know, and has a terrific sense of humor too. Our nephews and nieces can’t get enough of her.  And she turned our cat, Bongi, into a lap cat! She is generous, takes commitments seriously and is a great cook.  She can’t wait to have little hands helping her, and sometimes spilling things too! She’ll make an amazing mom.

Shari says:
I come from a very close family.  My parents believed so much in us and supported us in becoming the best we could be. Our home was filled with lots of laughter. I hope that I will be able to offer this kind of home to our child too.  I have an older brother (a lawyer with three kids) and a younger sister (a film maker with two kids). I grew up in Tarrytown, NY where my parents still live.  I went away for college and grad school, lived in Oakland for eight years and then taught college in Boston. I came home to New York ten years ago.

I love hiking and biking and the peace and quiet of being out in the woods.  I can’t wait to share this with our child as we pick wildflowers or chase butterflies near our Berkshires cottage in the summertime.  I also enjoy cooking –everything from banana pancakes for Sunday breakfast, to elaborate French feasts for guests.

I work as an executive coach – helping people become successful at work. I do this because I believe so much that each person has the ability to realize their dreams.

I plan to take time off when the baby is born.  After that, since I work out of a home office, my time is very flexible – so I’ll be available to play with our child in the afternoons in the park, for baking cookies, or for school activities as they grow older.
