Family & Community

Friends, family and community mean a lot to us.  Craig grew up in our neighborhood and Shari has lived here for nine years.  We have many friends here and look forward to watching our child play with their children at Sunday brunches or at birthday parties in the park.

We come from close families who are thrilled about welcoming a child and you to the family!  We see our parents, who live close by, at least a couple of times a month.  Our child will have attentive aunts and uncles and a bunch of cousins who can’t wait to meet them.  On Craig’s side, we have lots of cousins all over the country – one of them was recently a summer intern at Craig’s company.

Shari’s brother, sister, and their kids – ages seven to fourteen – live in the San Francisco Bay Area.  We see them for Thanksgiving and other celebrations and speak frequently on the phone.  We spend a lot of time in the Bay Area and Shari’s parents have an apartment there.

We also spend family vacations together – most recently we all celebrated Shari’s dad’s birthday at Point Reyes, north of San Francisco.  We went hiking and swimming and everyone had a good time. Our family is talking already about how they look forward to our child being part of the fun!

We are strong in our religious faith and involved in our community – these are important values that we will pass on to our child.  Craig is a board member for the local preschool program, reflecting his concern for kids.  Shari is on the board of a camp.
